It's time for our monthly catch-up, pals! If you want to join in, skip on over here.
What I’ve been grateful for:
First World Problems. My visit to South Africa last month and the general state of things in this world has once again affirmed how small my own 'problems' are. I had a moan last week about having to go to the trouble of applying for a new passport before realising just how lucky I am to even have this opportunity - nay, privilege. And if the worst thing in my month is having to get our carpets cleaned before our next inspection, things are pretty effing brilliant over here.
What I’ve been thinking about:
My first blog post. I was categorising my posts and went allllllll the way to the beginning. So for laughs, here it is. I was using a Canon Powershot G10 at that time and actually didn't think I was going to post recipes on my blog - just images of food being artistic. Like a coffee table book for the internet or something. (Oh the shame)
What I’m excited for:
Christmas! Too soon? I don't care.
Summer! Slurpee season is open my friends!
What I’ve been doing:
Working on Christmas Projects. I have something really fun in the works which I'll tell you all about next month!
Passports, visas, flight arrangements. And generally getting excited about our European adventure.
What I’ve been reading:
Top With Cinnamon Cookbook. I haven't bought any cookbooks in over a year but I couldn't resist this one. Izy is the queen. (And cookbooks can totally be read)
What I’ve been spending money on:
Not much really. With the impending move, I have had to be really mindful of what I'm buying as it will either need to be stored or thrown out in a few months. This was really hard at first but it's become sort of freeing in many ways. For example, I didn't bring back any crap from my trip as I would have normally. It's also nice to not be so surrounded by 'stuff'.
Tell me about what you've been up to! Or better yet, why don't you join in?
