So we've been home for a week now and already our trip feels like a very distant dream (why you gotta be like that holidays?). Oh well. Photos.
In Los Angeles we stayed in Silverlake which was just beautiful. Think bougainvillea and succulents EVERYWHERE. And of course, lots of cafés and beards. I also loved the Arts District (the Pie Hole is a MUST as is Poketo) and Santa Monica is just gorgeous. Also, I didn't think I'd like Beverly Hills nearly as much as I did but I could have spent much longer in that hood. I blame the Sparkle Cupcake ATM.
What did I tell you about Santa Monica? Yep, it's gorgeous. Oh, and if you prefer food with your pretty, we thought Pier Burger on the pier was fantastic.
If I ever go to Disneyland again, I'll just be doing Space Mountain on loop. Between Dole Whip floats and Mickey pretzels. Wait, maybe that's not the best idea.
Oh In N Out. I think we must've had half our meals there. They have a secret veggie burger (be sure to order it animal style) which is one of the best veggie burgers I have had. Ever.
I've been wanting to go to Salvation Mountain ever since I first heard of it so I made Will drive me the extra hour past Palm Springs for a climb and some snaps. It was..kinda weird. But pretty and I'm really glad I got to see it beyond Instagram.
And the drive there is pretty cool. I mean, if you're into wind turbines en masse with some dinosaurs thrown in.
And Palm Springs. Man, I loved Palm Springs. But how could I not, when all I did was sit by pool, have fish tacos and cocktails and drive around palm tree lined streets oohing and aahing at just about everything. And sleep here. Honestly, The Saguaro blew my mind a little with all the colours. That place is where I want to retire.
