It's here! It's here! POPSICLE WEEK IS HEEEEEEEEEERE!
Ever since Billy mentioned on Twitter that he is thinking of running this amazing week of popsicles I knew I had to be in on it. I mean POPSICLES. And as the Sydney 'winter' has been so mild recently I got right to work.
And by work I mean research. And by research I mean I visited the Magnum Pleasure Store which was 100% my inspiration for my contribution to Popsicle Week.
I guess I'm bringing a more conceptual offering to the popsicle party rather than another popsicle flavour and (confession time) may or may not have cheated by buying vanilla paddle pops instead of making my own. I lie, I actually did make my own vanilla popsicles which got stuck in my stupid old IKEA moulds but don't cry for me - I felt much better after eating them with a spoon from the moulds.
Moving on, the idea is basically to pimp your popsicle. Do I really need to say more? Toot toot! All aboard the any flavour popsicle train!!
Okay ready? It's going to go like this: Get/Make popsicles. Gather toppings. Commence pimpin'. Go!
I emptied my cupboard, fridge and raided the secret chocolate stash (no I won't tell you where it is) and then made these four flavours (clockwise below) to get the ball rolling:
Berry coulis, cacoa nibs, shredded coconut
White chocolate, cookie crumbs, chocolate balls
Dark chocolate, white chocolate, sprinkles
Dark chocolate, grated chocolate, fresh mint
How fun would this be at a party? What other flavours would you make?
Make sure you check out all the other posts for popsicle week over here. Such amazing company I'm in and some seriously fabulous popsicle-ing going on.
