I recently got myself mixed up in some parcel exchanges, and I mean that in the absolute best of ways.
First up is Post-A-Parcel, organised by Nia from Life & Co, who paired up all signer uppers with an exchange partner, gave some basic guidelines and left the rest up to our imagination. I got paired up with Lily, and between us we decided on 'Paper' as the theme for our packages.
I included some pretty packaged colour pencils, oversized pastel paperclips, homemade washi tape cupcake flags, hot chocolate on a stick, or paper straws to fit the theme - and three little triangular boxes filled with confetti. Oh, and I threw in some pinwheels to top it all of.
In exchange, Lily outdid herself and sent me a great notebook, pencil, patterned note paper, cute rubber stamps and an awesome badge that says Genius. She also made me the sweetest #1 blue paper ribbon and if you can spy the hand lettering on the envelope below in the corner, you will see the amount of love that went into this parcel. I think I seriously lucked out here. Thanks Lily!
Moving along, the very lovely Elizabeth from Squeak & Squirrel also pulled me into another, slightly lower key parcel exchange. I sent her some hot chocolate on a stick and washi cupcake flags. And of course I had to include confetti in there somewhere too, so I stuffed some between two cello bags.
Sadly though, the handmade book Elizabeth sent me, has gone missing in the mail. We have sent out a search party so hopefully it will turn up somewhere.
If your mailbox is overdue for some lovin' I highly recommend you keep a close eye on Nia's blog as she is organising another exchange just in time for Christmas. And if you're a food blogger hurry up and sign up for the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap. This one entails snail mail, baked goods and a good cause. Only a few days left to get registered, so go go go!
